Housing With Services

- HOUSING WITH SERVICES

Housing with services Provide one or more health-related or two or more supportive services. Examples of health-related services are professional nursing services and administration of medication. Examples of supportive services are assistance with personal laundry and arranging transportation to social service appointments.

Butterfly Bound Care provides , for a fee, one or more regularly scheduled health-related services or two or more regularly scheduled supportive services, whether offered or provided directly by our establishment or by another entity arranged for by the establishment.

Any setting that provides housing, one or more health-related or two or more supportive services for a fee, and serves an elderly population (80 percent age 55 and older) must register with MDH as a housing with services establishment under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 144D. A setting that meets all other criteria for a housing with services establishment, except that fewer than 80 percent of its residents are age 55 or older, may opt to register as a housing with services establishment.

Facilities that may register as housing with services establishments include board and lodging facilities with special services, corporate adult foster care homes, and assisted living settings. Registration as a housing with services establishment is in addition to, not a replacement for, any other required license.

Housing with services establishments that provide health-related services are required to obtain the appropriate home care provider license from MDH, or to contract with a licensed home care provider for services.

Health care should not be limited to mere interventions to keep one’s well-being. At Butterfly Bound Care, we consider all underlying factors that may affect our residents’ health and wellness. Thus, we ensure our facility is capable of sustaining their well-being without compromising their privacy and independence.

Butterfly Bound  Care is my pride and joy.  Each and every client is special to me. I am involved with every case and every client. I often attend family meetings and personally provide valuable advice and assistance in making decisions about care.

Thank you,
Doreen Kalema

The terms “home health” and “home care” sound a lot alike, but they are very different services. Butterfly Bound Care wants you to know the  kinds of care you need.

“Home health care provides professional medical services such as direct care (i.e. catheter care, wound/ostomy care), medication teaching and administration as ordered by a physician, nutritional counseling, etc.

“Home care services are non-clinical and include services such as medication reminders, companionship, meal prep, supervising or assisting with bathing, etc.

By letting your loved one into our facility, you can rest assured they get the right care whenever they need it. With the help of our experienced care staff, we pledge to provide our residents with unparalleled care 24/7.
